Frequently Asked Questions
Are Gather Homeware products suitable for outside use?
Our terrazzo products are made from Jesmonite AC100 which is not designated for extended outside use.
If the products are exposed to repeated rain/soaking, it may affect their appearance and deteriorate the wax seal.
We intend launching a range of pots and trays made specifically with the garden in mind.
Are Gather homeware products sold in any physical locations?
Yes, our products are sold in physical locations. We have stockists in various towns across Scotland and are constantly expanding our reach.
We also frequently sell at markets across the country, sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Instagram to be notified of our next market.

Do you ship internationally?
We currently do not ship to the USA or the EU. We have had to suspend shipping to the EU due to GPSR Regulations. The cost of sending to the EU in light of these regulations are prohibitive for a small business.
We have suspended shipping the USA in light of the uncertainty of the ever changing Tariffs. We are monitoring the situation and will try to find a way of working around the problem. Shipping costs may be too cost prohibitive for customers from the USA.
If you have any questions or would really like to discuss shipping to the US, feel free to email on hello@gatherhomeware.com to discuss individual cases.
Are your products really handmade if you use moulds?
Our products are made using moulds that have either been purchased from reputable (mostly British based companies) or that have been created by me. A great deal of thought and effort goes into selecting the right designs of mould.
Once I have moulded the initial piece, it is then hand-sanded and polished three times in order to reveal the terrazzo pattern. It is finished with a layer of beeswax based concrete wax. This protects it from water and enhances its colour and appearance.
All of the products are made in small batches (I do not have hundreds of moulds) and are all given the same care and attention - personally.
Do you do workshops?
I do not currently hold workshops. It is something I am asked frequently so I am considering it for 2026. If you are interested in this, please sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Instagram to be notified of any up-coming workshops.
